    1984 VOLVO N12
    Problem: EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS

    Trucks were built with headlamps wiring harnesses which may have the "upper beam"/"lower beam" wires reversed. This causes the trucks not to be in compliance with fmvss 108. Consequence of defect: lamps would use the upper beam filament when operated in the lower beam mode. This may cause visual problems to the oncoming driver and may lead to an accident.

    • Repair headlamp wiring to assure comformance with fmvss 108.
